<P>Justin Bieber isn't new to creating holiday songs using his new-millennium, R&B swagger, as evidenced on his Christmas album, <a href="/news/articles/1671983/justin-bieber-christmas-album-under-the-mistletoe.jhtml"><i>Under The Mistletoe</i></a>. And this weekend, he gave New Year's a try. The singer <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/justinbieber/status/153329259757318145" target="_blank">tweeted</a> a New Year's-themed track, "Happy New Year," which features his pal Jaden Smith rapping. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:702340.id:1672718" width="240" height="211"></div><p> The slow jam is certainly swaggerfied but also reflective, featuring lyrics that both play up the singer's pop-star image and look ahead to a more hopeful year. "I'm gonna make your cheeks red when I kiss your neck/Girl I'm never leavin' 'cause you are the best baby," he sings. "I wanna give you everything/Never feel 'cause girl you're coming home with me." In a spoken breakdown, he says, "2012 is the year to be better, stronger and closer to the people around you. So grab someone special, and just, you know." Smith also shows some bad-boy personality and proves that rapping runs in the Smith DNA. He raps, " 'Cause 2012 is the year of the love/And we gon' start it off/We can get a plane today and get a car toma'/We don't do it small at all/No girl tell me what I gotta to do/I can be the beat that you rockin' to/I can do anything, nothing is impossible, especially with you girl/And I never need a new girl/This love is true girl/Aye welcome to the crew girl." Not only was Bieber gracing fans with new tracks over the weekend, but he also took the stage during "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2012" in Times Square, not far from where his lady love Selena Gomez was <a href="/news/articles/1676633/new-year-selena-gomez-mac-miller.jhtml">hosting "NYE in NYC 2012."</a> The twosome later partied together at Glass House, <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/marc_malkin/justin_bieber_selena_gomezs_late_night/283450" target="_blank">E! News</a> reports. A source says, "He…danced with Selena, showing off, picking her up and swinging her around like it was 'Dancing With the Stars.' Brown revisits electronic-dance sound for first single from Fortune.

Chris Brown is getting the club banging with “Turn Up the Music.” The first single from Brown’s upcoming album, Fortune, was released Thursday (January 26), and much like his 2010 hit “Yeah 3x,” Brown revisits an electronic-dance sound that is destined to get people in the clubs and on the dance floor.

The track, which was written and produced by the Underdogs and will be available at all digital music stores February 14, is a house-inspired song with a pulsing beat that has Breezy singing, “Turn up the music, ’cause the sun just came up/ Turn up the music if they try to turn us down/ Turn up the music, ’cause I’m trying to hear the speakers blow/ Turn up the music, fill your cup and drink it down,” followed by repeated chants of “If you’re sexy and you know it, put your hands up in the air.”

With a release date for Fortune to be announced soon, Brown is in the studio putting the finishing touches on his fifth studio album, the follow-up to 2011′s F.A.M.E.

Back in October, Brown reached out to Team Breezy via Twitter, revealing a single from his upcoming album. “STRIP [from Brown's Boy in Detention mixtape] is one of the singles off of FORTUNE so request at RADIO!” Brown tweeted.

Fans can’t expect Brown to be doing much more than tweeting about this album: Earlier this month Brown’s manager, Tina Davis, told Billboard magazine that the singer wouldn’t be doing any interviews in 2012. “We’re not trying to be rude, selfish or disrespectful to anyone in any way,” she told the mag. “If people are going to judge anything, judge him for his talent. He signed up to sing and entertain, not to talk about his personal life.”

Everyone loves a comeback, and Britney Spears' fans are no exception. Celebrity mom Kimora Lee Simmons and other experts discuss balancing motherhood and business.

Now that Beyoncé has added a new job to her résumé — mom — there’s a slew of potential new projects the pop-star mogul might add to her ever-growing empire. Gwen Stefani, Madonna and Victoria Beckham are just a sampling of pop stars who have managed to write a whole new chapter into their careers thanks to motherhood.

These celebs have expanded their personal brands to include children’s clothing lines, books, songs and movies and have even revitalized themselves in their image as super-glam supermoms. As Beyoncé looks to the future and her role as Blue Ivy‘s mama, mommy mogul Kimora Lee Simmons and Christopher Gavigan, who works with Jessica Alba on her Honest brand, talked to MTV News about the balance between parenthood and the business world.

“I always tell people I’m not the glamorous Hollywood mom,” said Simmons, who continues to expand her own fashion brand to include the Shinto Clinical skin-care line. “I’m not the kind of celebrity that lives in the spotlight. I’m famous from work that I do. I’ve always been in the business and raised my family in the business so it’s like a second nature for me. I think that’s the key is striking a balance. For me it’s always about prioritizing.”

What’s Simmons’ advice for new celeb moms looking to follow her lead? “I think it’s about choosing what you want and going after that. Do the best you can, but you don’t have to be Superwoman.”

And Simmons isn’t the only Hollywood A-lister trying to do it all. Alba launched Honest with Gavigan to give moms a place to find eco-friendly products for their babies. “Jessica is like every other mom. Every other mom is a major multi-tasker,” Gavigan said of working with the star. “Jessica was very in line with everyone, the average mom and dad out there.”

“Find what you’re passionate about and go do that,” he advised to any future mom moguls. “You articulate that in a brand or in a way you feel from a business perspective that you feel you get your focus articulated in some meaningful or special way. A lot of it is partnerships and leveraging the greatest assets of each other.”

With all that advice in mind, some celebrity experts weighed in on what B just might do now that she is a mom. “I think it’s going to come very naturally for Beyoncé to emerge as this celebrity mom, just given all the current existing brand extensions she has,” said David Caplan, who has worked at Star and People magazines. “Having a child will give her legitimacy, obviously, to the moms, and clearly there’s lots and lots of money to be had there. So, I think you will see her lend her hand in the baby arena, whether it’s her brand extensions intentionally or just emerging as some sort of Hollywood celebrity mom icon, which happens sometimes with these celebrity mothers.

“Whether it’s intentional or not, I think she’s definitely going to emerge as a celebrity mother icon,” he continued. “And I’m sure she’ll take advantage of that and invest in her brand.”

A suggestion from another expert fits right in line with the first move her hubby, Jay-Z, made when he dropped his track “Glory” just says after Blue’s birth, which features his baby girl. “I think that this is a woman that has tried terribly hard to keep her private life private,” HuffPost celebrity columnist Rob Shuter said. “I think it’ll be the same with her baby. I can’t imagine her doing a Bethenny Frankel move.”

Them Crooked Vultures make their debut with a post-Lollapalooza set.

<P>Officially, <a href="/news/articles/1617945/janes-addiction-killers-turn-up-heat-on-lollapaloozas-last-day.jhtml">Lollapalooza ended Sunday night</a> in Chicago's Grant Park, with dueling sets from <a href="/music/artist/killers_the/artist.jhtml">the Killers</a> and <a href="/music/artist/janes_addiction/artist.jhtml">Jane's Addiction</a>. Unofficially, it ended <i>very</i> early Monday morning, across town at venerable rock club the Metro, with a surprise show by Them Crooked Vultures. To the unfamiliar, the Vultures might seem like an odd choice to close out Lolla weekend … until you realize that they're made up of <a href="/music/artist/foo_fighters/artist.jhtml">Foo Fighters</a> frontman/ former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, <a href="/music/artist/queens_stone_age/artist.jhtml">Queens of the Stone Age</a> mastermind Josh Homme and <a href="/music/artist/led_zeppelin/artist.jhtml">Led Zeppelin</a> legend John Paul Jones. And their gig at the Metro was their world premiere. According to <a href="http://blogs.suntimes.com/derogatis/2009/08/them_crooked_vultures_at_metro.html" target="_blank">some reports</a>, the Vultures actually turned <i>down</i> Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell's request to replace the Beastie Boys as headliners at the festival, opting to debut in front of some 1,100 super-psyched fans at the Metro, rather than 75,000 in Grant Park (tickets for the gig were announced via Foo Fighter/ QOTSA fan clubs). Meaning that, in a lot of ways, this was the most sought-after ticket in town. Taking the stage just after midnight, the Vultures &#8212; Grohl on drums (of course), Homme on guitar and vocals, Jones on bass and keys and frequent QOTSA contributor Alain Johannes on guitar &#8212; ripped through 12 songs in 80 minutes, all taken from their upcoming debut, which may or may not be called <i>Never Deserved the Future,</i> and may or may not be hitting stores on October 23 (early "promo" videos touting both those facts were revealed over the weekend to be hoaxes perpetrated by QOTSA fans). The songs, with appropriately Homme-ian titles like "Scumbag Blues," "Mind Eraser (No Chaser)," "Caligulove" and "Interlude w/Ludes," sounded pretty much how you'd expect, given the band's pedigree. They rocked, hard &#8212; <a href="http://leisureblogs.chicagotribune.com/turn_it_up/2009/08/concert-review-them-crooked-vultures-at-metro.html" target="_blank"><i>Chicago Tribune</i></a> critic Greg Kot described them as "fresh, invigorating and just plain nasty" &#8212; delving off into psychedelic, reverb-filled excursions and exploring proggy territory, "both of the old-school Yes variety, and the more modern Tool flavor," according to the <i>Chicago Sun-Times'</i> Jim DeRogatis. It's not known if Monday's Metro performance was a one-off event for the Vultures &#8212; there have been whispers of a full-blown tour, but a spokesperson for Homme had not responded to MTV News' request for comment at press time. Nor was it clear whether or not they'll have an album out in October. Early Monday, a <a href="http://twitter.com/crookedvultures" target="_blank">Crooked Vultures Twitter account</a>, which had previously posted links to the band's <a href="http://www.themcrookedvultures.com/" target="_blank">official-looking Web site</a> and the Metro's online ticketing site &#8212; posted a link to what appears to be the group's first bit of official merchandise: a <i>Deserve the Future</i> T-shirt. Cost: $30.</p>

Actress has reportedly left Sherman Oaks Hospital, where she was admitted on Monday for ‘exhaustion.’

Demi Moore has been discharged from Sherman Oaks Hospital, E! News confirms. The actress entered the Los Angeles area hospital on Monday, but it remains unclear exactly when she left the facility.

The site further reports that her discharge is timed perfectly with Ashton Kutcher’s return to the States. He had been in Brazil shooting a campaign for Colcci along with supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio. His return to the U.S. on Thursday (January 26) had been previously scheduled and was not prompted by Moore’s hospitalization. When TMZ cameras caught the actor out and about in Brazil, he said nothing when asked about his estranged wife’s situation.

There has been a lot of speculation in the days since Moore entered the hospital, including reports that she had been inhaling nitrous oxide from aerosol cans, which then led to seizure-like symptoms. However, her rep explained that she was hospitalized for “exhaustion.”

A source tells UsMagazine.com that “she has spiraled and gotten to a place where she is struggling too much to function … Her life is completely in crisis. She is turning 50 and has no idea who she is or what her focus should be.”

The news of Moore’s health scare comes just months after she announced her split from Kutcher. “As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life,” she said in a statement. “This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.”

While she will no longer be in the upcoming “Lovelace” biopic, she will appear in the Miley Cyrus film “LOL,” out later this year.
